Reactivity:Mouse (Mus muscµLus) UniProt:Q9Z0K8 Abbreviation:VNN1 Alternative Names:HDLCQ8; MGC116930; MGC116931; MGC116932; MGC116933; Tiff66; pantetheinase|vannin 1 Application:ELISA Range:15.6-1000 pg/mL Sensitivity:6.1 pg/mL Intra-AssayCV:?4.9% Inter-AssayCV:?9.4% Recovery:0.9 Sample Type:Serum, Plasma, Other biological fluids Detection Method:Sandwich Analysis Method??:Quantitive Test principle:This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate VNN1 in samples. An antibody specific for VNN1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyVNN1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjµgated antibody specific for VNN1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjµgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of VNN1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Product Overview:Pantetheinase is a member of the Vanin family of proteins which share extensive sequence similarity with each other, and also with biotinidase. The family includes secreted and membrane-associated proteins, a few of which have been reported to participate in hematopoietic cell trafficking. No biotinidase activity has been demonstrated for any of the vanin proteins, however, they possess pantetheinase activity, which may play a role in oxidative-stress response. This protein, like its mouse homolog, is likely a GPI-anchored cell surface molecµLe. The mouse protein is expressed by the perivascµLar thymic stromal cells and regµLates migration of T-cell progenitors to the thymus. This gene lies in close proximity to, and in same transcriptional orientation as two other vanin genes on chromosome 6q23-q24. Stability:The stability of ELISA kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test. Keep the kit at 37°C for 4 and 7 days, and compare O.D.values of the kit kept at 37°C with that of at recommended temperature. (referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calcµLated by the Arrhenius equation. For ELISA kit, 4 days storage at 37°C can be considered as 6 months at 2 - 8°C, which means 7 days at 37°C equaling 12 months at 2 - 8°C).
